CERAMIC SUBSTRATES ON ALUMINIUM

ElectroDynamic Solutions supplies custom products for electronics industry based on a unique novel technology for ceramic coating on aluminium. The structures are used as a versatile carrier for electronic circuits and offer the following benefits:

 High thermal conductivity;

Strong adhesion between metal and dielectric in wide temperature range;

Electric insulation with a tough coating on a non-flat surface.

 

This combination of properties are applicable to high power electronic devices, heatsinks, hybrid circuits and packaging in high reliability applications, i.e. for instance, for applications, where the following combination of parameters is required:

electric insulation and low thermal resistance for heat transfer

high RF power or high voltage in small size circuits.

Dielectric coating can be applied to non-flat aluminium surfaces with fine details or to parts with arbitrary shapes. These structures a thin alumina substrate on aluminium are also applicable to RF/ microwave microstrip circuits
